When Will ‘Love Life’ Episode 4 Release On HBO Max?

UPDATE: May 30, 12:03 p.m. EDT -- HBO Max announced an accelerated release schedule for "Love Life." The entire season will be released over the next two weeks. On Thursday, June 4, episodes 4, 5 and 6 will release. The final four episodes will be added on Thursday, June 11.

Original story: Viewers who just finished binge-watching the first episodes of the new romantic comedy “Love Life” on HBO Max are likely looking for episode 4. However, they’ll have to wait for the release of the next installment.

It seems HBO Max is following a release model similar to Hulu and Apple TV+. They released three episodes of “Love Life” on May 27, but the rest of the season will be released weekly. “Love Life” Season 1, episode 4 is set to premiere on Wednesday, June 3.

“Love Life” follows Darby Carter (Anna Kendrick) through her twenties as her relationships help lead her to her “person.” The romantic comedy chronicles everything from her first love to her last one and all the important not-quite-loves in between.

Audiences first meet Darby in 2012. She has just graduated from NYU and is living in the city with living with her best friends. She ends up in her first comfortable relationship, but it isn’t the longterm affair she hopes for. By the third episode, Darby is in 2015 and trying to balance work and love as she searches for her perfect match. Episode 4 will find her with another new boyfriend. This time, he’s a foodie.

Kendrick executive produces the series alongside her “A Simple Favor” director Paul Feig. This is Oscar nominee Kendrick’s first TV show, but don’t expect her to be the star for years to come. If “Love Life” continues, it’ll be an anthology series, focusing on a new protagonist’s romantic journey every year.

The actress has proven that she doesn't mind launching a new streaming service. She appeared in Disney+'s "Noelle" and Quibi's "Dummy," both released on the service's launch days. HBO Max is the third new streaming platform she has helped launch in the last six months.
