Christmas has come and gone, and we’ve officially popped the champagne to usher in a New Year—and so has Hallmark, with their January “New Year, New Movies” event. Kicking off the festivities, and the new slate of films coming in 2022, is “Where Your Heart Belongs,” starring Jen Lilley and Christopher Russell.

Neither of the film’s stars should be unfamiliar faces to Hallmark fans, as both have previously featured in several projects before—and even starred together once before this in “Love Unleashed.” That, of course, likely isn’t the only movie fans will recognize either from. Lilley has also starred in the Hallmark Movies & Mysteries films “USS Christmas” and “Angel Falls: A Novel Holiday,” as well as the Hallmark Channel titles “A Little Daytime Drama,” “Snowkissed,” “Paris, Wine and Romance,” “Winter Love Story,” “Mingle All the Way,” “Yes, I Do,” “Harvest Love” and “Eat, Play, Love.”

As for Russell, fans will likely recognize him from the titles “Chasing Waterfalls,” “Love in the Forecast,” “Nature of Love,” “The Mistletoe Secret” and “All Summer Long.”

However, this will be a treat for fans since they’ve seen these two together before. So what can fans expect from this second film starring this pair? According to a synopsis, two former flames will once again find something flickering between them when they work together on a new project.

“Mackenzie Sullivan (Lilley) is a New York-based marketing executive who is struggling to keep her high-profile clients that are migrating to an up-and-coming influencer,” the synopsis reads. “When her best friend Olivia (Jill Morrison) announces she’s moving up her wedding date and now plans to get married in just two weeks, she asks Mackenzie to go back with her to their small, rural hometown and help with the plans.”

However, returning home will mean Mackenzie will once again come face-to-face with an ex.

“Only glitch is she’ll be working side-by-side with Olivia’s cousin Dylan (Russell), whom she used to date,” the synopsis teases.

However, seeing Dylan again won’t be the only thing that happens, and before the festivities come to an end, Mackenzie may find herself seeing everything in her life in new and unexpected ways.

“While there, she learns the hard way that the love and support of family and true friends means more than she imagined,” the synopsis concludes.

“Where Your Heart Belongs” premiere Saturday, Jan. 1 at 8 p.m. EST on Hallmark Channel.
