Leonardo DiCaprio is no stranger to dating models, but the age of his rumored new girlfriend has sparked criticism from some Twitter users.

DiCaprio, 48, and Israeli model Eden Polani first sparked dating rumors last week when they were spotted together in Los Angeles at a music release party for Ebony Riley's new EP.

A photo of the actor sitting next to the 19-year-old model went viral Tuesday and caused some users to slam the actor over their 29-year age difference.

Neither DiCaprio nor Polani has acknowledged dating rumors.

Amid the backlash on Tuesday, sources close to the Oscar-winning actor told TMZ that Polani and DiCaprio are not dating and were simply hanging out in the same group.

An insider noted that just because DiCaprio is sitting next to or talking to a woman, it doesn't mean the actor is in a romantic relationship with her.

Polani has mostly stayed under the media radar. There have been no reports of Polani dating any major public figures and only the rumors surrounding her and DiCaprio have put her in the spotlight. Prior to her possible romance with DiCaprio, Polani was linked to Gil Ofer, the son of Israeli billionaire Idan Ofer.

Polani is signed to IT Models, a boutique fashion agency in Tel Aviv that was established in 2016 by former nightlife manager Omri Yaari.

She is also represented by Kult Models in Germany, Maddison in France, and Next Management in the U.K.

Polani isn't the first Israeli model to be linked to DiCaprio. From 2006 to 2011, he dated model Bar Refaeli.

Following his split from 25-year-old American model Camila Morrone, DiCaprio briefly dated American-Palestinian model Gigi Hadid, 27, and actress Victoria Lamas, 23.
