Jedediah Bila, a weekend co-host for the popular “Fox & Friends” program, has taken President Trump to task for his criticism of longtime Fox News anchor Chris Wallace. Trump on Sunday took to Twitter to attack Wallace for discussing a New York Times article criticizing the government’s slow response to coronavirus.

“Just watched Mike Wallace wannabe, Chris Wallace, on @FoxNews,” the President tweeted. “I am now convinced that he is even worse than Sleepy Eyes Chuck Todd of Meet the Press(please!), or the people over at Deface the Nation. What the hell is happening to @FoxNews. It’s a whole new ballgame over there!”

Bila quickly defended Wallace in a tweet.

“Enough with the 3rd grade name-calling,” Bila tweeted in response a little over an hour later. “Chris is doing his job. The news should not be any president’s friend, ally, or buddy. If it bothered you when Obama complained about Fox News, but you’re silent on this complete nonsense, then just stop. Seriously. Enough.”

Bila, 41, revealed on Thursday that she was recovering from coronavirus after not appearing on “Fox & Friends” since March 29.

“I know I’ve been a little MIA,” Bila tweeted. “I’m actually at home recovering from Covid-19. I’m very much on the mend, so please don’t worry. My husband is also recovering well at home and Hartley luckily did not get sick (Thank you, God, I am forever grateful…).”

Bila was added as a permanent weekend co-host of “Fox & Friends” in April 2019. She had previously gained fame as a panelist on "The View" from August 2016 to September 2017.

Bila started out in education in her hometown of New York and by 2009 she had transitioned into politics and media. After appearances on Sean Hannity's Fox News program, she later made appearances on other networks. Bila began working at Fox News in 2013, appearing on shows like “The Five” and “Outnumbered.”
