The rumor mill has been spinning about a possible pregnancy announcement from a member of the Royal Family for months now, and oddsmakers are buying into it. British bookmaker Coral shortened the odds that Princess Eugenie would announce her pregnancy before the end of 2019, according to Express.

In recent days, Coral changed the odds that Eugenie would reveal her pregnancy in 2019 from 3/1 to ½. Royal Family gossip over the past few months has centered on the idea that Eugenie would have a baby, especially after getting married to Jack Brooksbank near the end of 2018.

"We've had betting on when Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank will have their first child ever since the couple tied the knot back in October, and originally we had thought they would wait a while before starting a family,” Harry Aitkenhead of Coral told Express. “However speculation has been rife that the pair could reveal very soon that they are expecting and this has caused our odds to tumble on a 2019 pregnancy announcement.”

Oddsmakers have been engaging in this sort of speculation for months. Ladbrokes set the odds of a royal baby coming from Eugenie and Brooksbank at 8/13 in January. At the time, Coral thought it was more likely that Eugenie and Brooksbank would wait until 2020, setting the odds at 5/4.

Rumors about a possible pregnancy really fired up when Eugenie took to Instagram to post a throwback photo of her younger years with her mother, Sarah Ferguson. She and Brooksbank tied the knot in October, so there is a belief that a pregnancy announcement in the near future would roughly adhere to the royal baby timeline.

Meghan Markle announced her pregnancy five months after marrying Prince Harry. Their baby is expected to be born by the end of spring.

Not everyone is a fan of the rumors surrounding Eugenie, though. Ferguson criticized a journalist from a German outlet for asking if Eugenie was pregnant in January.
