Val Chmerkovskiy and Amber Rose have decided to end their relationship.

On Sunday, the “Dancing With the Stars” pro took to Instagram to confirm their split and said that it happened last week. Despite their break up, Chmerkovskiy still spoke positively about Rose and said that he feels very lucky to have known and loved her. Chmerkovskiy went on to say that their relationship did not work out because they lived very different lives. But at the end of the day, he will continue to support her and will always have her back.

A few minutes after he posted the lengthy message, Rose commented and thanked Chmerkovskiy for his kind words.

According to US Weekly, the estranged couple was together for five months. The two met last season on the hit ABC dance reality TV competition, where Rose was partnered with Chmerkovskiy’s older brother, Maksim. Following their split, a source told the publication that it’s possible that the two will cross paths again sometime in the near future. “Val has been on tour and really hasn’t had time to see her too much. It fizzled out, but it wasn’t serious to begin with. I could see them hooking up again in the future,” the source said.

Meanwhile, there are rumors suggesting that Rose cheated on Chmerkovskiy despite the latter’s claims that she was loyal to him. On Feb. 11, Rose attended Clive David’s pre-Grammys bash in Los Angeles where she reunited with Wiz Khalifa. An insider claimed that the two kissed at the event, according to the Daily Mail.

As of late, the rapper, Rose and Chmerkovskiy haven’t confirmed or denied the rumors.
