Mama June has shared her strict parenting rules for her kids and revealed that Pumpkin is the rebel among her daughters.

In an exclusive interview with Us Weekly published Sunday, Mama June Shannon, 41, opened up about her rules for her daughters Anna Shannon, 26, Jessica Shannon, 24, Lauryn “Pumpkin” Shannon, 21, and Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson, 15.

According to the “Mama June: Road To Redemption” star, she has strict rules for going on dates and having cell phones. In fact, all four were not allowed to date or own a mobile phone until they turned 13.

While all three daughters complied, Pumpkin bravely defied Mama June’s orders by secretly procuring prepaid hand phones.

“She would get these, like, prepaid cell phones. You know what I’m saying? And then I would find them, and I would just bust them up,” she said after noting that “Pumpkin is the rebel in the family.”

When her daughters got older and were allowed to have their own phones, the reality TV star admitted that she also started monitoring their texting. This is how she found out about Pumpkin dating an “older boy” and nipped the problem in the bud.

Lauryn has also been the one to get a bunch of tattoos before she turned 18. However, Mama June revealed that she was never against it because she also wanted her daughters to “express themselves.” She even allowed Pumpkin to have a “tattoo party” for her 17th birthday.

As of late, half of Mama June’s daughters — Jessica and Anna — have stayed away from the limelight while Alana and Lauryn continue to join their mom on her reality TV stardom. However, Pumpkin did admit early last month that she’s ready to say goodbye to her small screen career and start living a normal life.

In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Pumpkin said that there are a lot of perks that come with her job as a reality star, but she’s already planning to walk away from the industry, get a job as a nurse and enjoy a simple life with her family with husband Joshua Efird, 24.

Three weeks ago, Lauryn announced that she and Josh are expecting their second baby. The two are already parents to their first daughter Ella Grace, who is currently 3 years old.

“Everybody knows Ella's 3 now, so it's taken me that long to get pregnant. Because for a while, I was on birth control and then I got off of birth control for a year and a half. And then I found out that I was pregnant,” she told People.
