Meghan Markle was recently dubbed as a Hollywood starlet and not a Duchess after she committed a grueling mistake while taking a photograph.

Royal correspondent Rhiannon Mills criticized the “Suits” alum for wearing an expensive Ralph & Russo gown during her engagement pictorial with Prince Harry in 2017. Mills said that the choice in clothing was just too much.

While speaking with Sky News, Mills also said that Markle’s dress must have cost over $65,000.

“And in a number of newspapers, you saw widespread criticism of that – ‘how can she be wearing a dress that’s worth more than some people’s houses, this is ridiculous.’ And actually, I think she did put a foot wrong with that one… I think maybe that was too much Hollywood starlet, not enough future Duchess,” she said.

But Mills also noted the fact that Markle has also been photographed in Mark and Spencer clothing on multiple occasions. As such, the royal correspondent said that it would be very interesting to know how Markle would fit into the world sooner or later.

Meanwhile, Markle’s fashion is not the only thing that’s being criticized about her. Royal expert Ingrid Seward said that Markle’s decision to keep her birthing plans a secret just proved how difficult and dictatorial she really is.

Seward also said that the royal family is not ready for Markle’s comments on feminism and feminist issues.

“Some of the more old-fashioned courtiers recoil when they see some of the things that Meghan says. It’s like they feel they might get into trouble because she might be putting her feet into the political abyss,” Seward said.

Markle is currently on maternity leave because she just gave birth to her son, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor, on May 6. The former Hollywood star will return to her royal duties sometime in October or November when her son is around 5 or 6 months old.
