Guess they really were too hot to handle.

Bryce Hirschberg and Nicole O’Brien of Netflix's "Too Hot To Handle" have called it quits, according to People. Despite dating for a year, they had only been public for about a month due to them having to keep their relationship under wraps prior to the show's release in April.

"I can confirm that Bryce and Nicole decided mutually to split early last week after months of trying to make a long-distance relationship work,” Hirschberg's representative, Zack Teperman, confirmed.

The 29-year-old, who lives on his boat in Marina Del Rey, California, added a statement that gives some insight as to why his relationship with the 24-year-old, who splits her time between Ireland and London, wasn't working.

"After the many failed attempts to reunite due to quarantine and border restrictions, we decided that moving on and remaining friends would be our best option for the time being," Bryce explained. "Nicole is so lovely and if under less unusual circumstances I’m sure that we could’ve had an amazing relationship! I wish her the best because she deserves it."

Although Bryce and Nicole met during filming, it wasn't until afterward during a trip to Mexico with the entire cast that the two pursued a more serious relationship with each other.

It's never fun going through a breakup, but there is no denying that Bryce and Nicole had a good run, especially in terms of reality television relationships. Their split leaves one "Too Hot To Handle" couple left -- Francesca Farago and Harry Jowsey.

So far from what's been put out, these two are still working towards their happily ever after with each other. Shortly after the show aired, the couple couldn't help but gush about each other.

"I love him so much. It's actually crazy to think about because the circumstances that we met are unlike any other," Francesca, originally from British Columbia, Canada, said. "I think we are going to be connected for life."

Adding that the coronavirus pandemic was putting a wrench in their plans to be with each other she added, "... once this quarantine is over, we are going to move in together and it's going to be amazing and magical. We are going to get married and have kids!"

"I legitimately am so much happier when I'm around her and having her in my life. So, let's go, sign me up!" Harry added.

Netflix's "Too Hot To Handle" brought together "commitment-phobes who love a casual hook-up" and challenged them to abstain from any type of hanky panky in exchange for a grand prize of $100,000. Although the prize pot dwindled as time went on, everyone still walked away with $7,500.
