Famed journalist and “The View” co-host Barbara Walters is being asked to ring in the New Year so her fans can hear her say, “I’m Barbara Walters, and this is 2020” just one more time.

A petition circulating on change.org, is looking for signatures to have Walters appear on New Year’s Eve and help celebrate the ushering in of 2020 with her famous “20/20” liner.

Walters appeared on ABC during her journalistic career, which is the same network that brings the Times Square ball drop on New Year’s Eve live to viewers. The petition is directed towards ABC, requesting the network to make Walter’s appearance happen.

The petition simply requests Walters to appear saying, “It will make the world a better place and give people something to look forward to at the end of 2019!”

Walters anchored the news show “20/20” for 25 years. To date the petition has nearly 5,000 signatures.

There was no word whether Walters, who hasn’t been seen in public in recent months due to reported health issues that include dementia and heart problems, would accept the invitation.
