Amazon founder Jeff Bezos isn't denying having an interest in buying the Washington Commanders.

Bezos, who is the fourth richest person in the world, reportedly has considered putting in a bid for the NFL team and has not denied any rumors.

"Yes, I've heard that buzz," Bezos told CNN's Chloe Melas. "There's not much I can say about that right now."

Lauren Sanchez, Bezos' partner, was part of the interview with CNN and added that she loves football. Sanchez had worked as an anchor for Fox Sports in Los Angeles.

"I grew up in Houston, Texas, and I played football growing up as a kid ... and it is my favorite sport," Bezos said when asked if owning a professional team was something that was part of his dream. "So we'll just have to wait and see."

On Nov. 2, the Commanders announced that owners Dan and Tanya Snyder hired BofA Securities to consider potential transactions. The Snyders are reportedly looking into selling either a minority stake or the entire team.

The Washington Post was among the outlets to report that Bezos has an interest in bidding for the Commanders. The report noted that Bezos' bid might include Jay-Z as an investor.

Amazon reportedly pays close to $1 billion a year for the exclusive right to broadcast "Thursday Night Football." The deal started in 2022 and runs for 11 seasons.

Earlier this year, the Denver Broncos were sold for a record $4.65 billion. According to Fox Sports' Jay Glazer, Dan Snyder hopes to sell the Commanders for $7 billion.

Bezos also reportedly has an interest in buying the Phoenix Suns.

Bezos has an estimated net worth of $124 billion.
