Will (Laurie Davidson) is going to have a peek to the self-indulgent world of London’s upper class in Season 1, episode 4 of “Will.”

According to the synopsis for next week’s episode of the new TNT drama, Marlowe (Jamie Campbell Bower) introduces Will to the decadent elite of London but things take a macabre turn.

As seen in the trailer for the episode, Marlowe brings Will to a gathering filled with wealthy men and women. People are dancing, drinking and clearly having a good time. But apparently, the festivity isn’t all about that. At the end of the promo clip, Marlowe tells Will to prepare himself for the main event. While the video doesn’t show what the main event actually is, it seems it’s the time when things start to get awry.

Elsewhere in the upcoming episode, Alice (Olivia DeJonge) becomes disillusioned with Will after she finds out that he’s keeping a book addressed to Her Majesty, pleading for religion freedom.

“You risked our lives to cowardice,” an upset Alice tells Will after seemingly discovering the book hidden underneath his bed.

After Southwell’s (Max Bennett) hideout was raided by Topcliffe (Ewen Bremner) and his men in Season 1, episode 3, London’s most wanted man — hiding under the name Cotton — paid Will a visit and asked him to keep the book safe. When Will showed some hesitation to take the book, Southwell said: “These times are hard. Men and women are murdered for what they believe. You can no longer pretend this is not your fight. Baxter’s (Tadhg Murphy) blood was spilled so that you might live. If God decides my time on Earth is done, finish this for me. For the love I bear thee and our cause.”

Will agreed to keep the book just as Alice emerged from the theater. The daughter of the theater owner asked Will who’s the man he’s talking to. Will lied and told Alice that the man is a friend of him from Warwickshire. When Alice asked what the book is, Will said that it’s a book of falconing.

After Alice learned what the book really is, Will — as seen in the trailer for next week’s episode — seemingly talks to Southwell again to tell him that the fugitive’s fight is not his fight.

“Will” Season 1, episode 4, titled “Brave New World,” airs on Monday, July 24, at 9 p.m. EDT on TNT. Watch the trailer for the episode below:
