Rebecca Romijn, who worked in the action-adventure movie "X-Men" as Raven, opened up about her potential appearance in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

"I don't know if they would ever want me back," Romijn told ComicBook in an interview published Wednesday. "I mean, that was quite a few years back when I played that character, but I would love to, yeah, absolutely. It was a fantastic franchise to be a part of."

The 49-year-old actress further shared how much she loved working on the franchise and the cast members. "I'll love that cast until the day I die," she said, adding: "We had a great time together. And yeah, I would absolutely be open to that."

Romijn's first appeared in the "X-Men" franchise in 2000. She was also featured in the second installment, "X2: X-Men United," which was dropped in 2003. The final installment of the series, titled "X-Men: The Last Stand," was released in 2006 when Romijn reprised her character for the last time.

Fans are suspecting a potential return of Romijn in the future Marvel Cinematic Universe because one of the most popular "X-Men" characters, Charles Xavier (played by Patrick Stewart) was introduced in the "Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness" trailer.

Earlier this month, "Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness" director Sam Raimi also opened up about Stewart's appearance in the upcoming Marvel movie and said, "I couldn't promise you that Patrick Stewart's in the picture. That's all that Marvel will let me say."

Since a major character might appear in the upcoming installment of the Marvel movie, fans can expect more "X-Men" characters to make their debut in the MCU.

"Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness" is slated to release in theaters on May 6.

Considering other upcoming Marvel movies, fans will get to watch "Thor: Love and Thunder" on July 8 in theaters while "Black Panther: Wakanda Forever" will be the last Marvel movie of 2022, which will release on Nov. 11.

"The Marvels" is scheduled to release next year. In case you have missed it, here's a list of Marvel movies releasing in 2022 and 2023.
