  • Johnson Larose, 25, and Charlotte Fischer, 24, were released on bail
  • The YouTubers may face up to 7 years in prison if found guilty
  • Incident occurred at a Target store in Exton, Pennsylvania, on Feb. 21

A couple in Pennsylvania were arrested on charges of trespassing for staying overnight inside a Target store to film a "challenge" video for their YouTube channel.

Johnson Larose, 25, and Charlotte Fischer, 24, popularly known on YouTube as "Saucy and Honey," sneaked into a Target store in Exton on Feb. 21, just before closing, and stayed there the entire night as part of a "24 Hour Overnight Challenge in Target."

The couple recorded their stay at the store and shared it with almost 18,000 followers on their YouTube channel, Penn Live reported.

West Whiteland Township Police responded to a report of a tripped alarm in the Target on the night of Feb. 21 but could not find anything. However, employees reviewed the surveillance footage the next day and saw the couple walking around the store while joking, filming, and posing for the videos.

Cops said the duo left the store after their overnight stay and did not complete the 24-hour challenge. The couple did not steal anything and their intention appeared to be filming for fun to draw attention on social media.

"We have not seen it around here like that. We have had small pranks and things like that, but I think this the first time we have had an incident where somebody did something just for social media attention," Detective Scott Pezick said, 6 ABC reported.

"It is three o'clock in the morning, in a business where you are not supposed to be. That is something that as police officers we have to handle accordingly. And we don't know that someone is just in their hiding. We don't know if they are trying to commit a crime or not," Pezick said, adding that such social media stunts are dangerous.

Meanwhile, Larose and Fischer have been released on a bail of $25,000 and barred from entering all Target stores in Pennsylvania. Their next hearing is scheduled for March 24. The two could face up to seven years in prison if convicted, cops said.

However, the couple did not have any regrets about their action. "I mean, no regrets just living life and having fun, it’s kind of sad that all of this came out of it, we were expecting a fine nothing crazy," Fischer said.
