  • Ethan Klein accused Charles of stealing designs from his wife Hila’s Teddy Fresh brand

YouTuber James Charles sent hoodies from his new merchandise collection to the Kardashians amid accusations of stealing designs.

Kris Jenner took to Instagram Saturday to thank Charles for the "Sisters Apparel" merchandise.

"Thank you for gorgeous, unbelievable flowers and congratulations on this drop," Kris Jenner wrote on her Instagram story along with a photo of a bouquet and hoodies.

Kim Kardashian too took to Instagram to post photo of the merchandise and wrote, "James Charles sent the most beautiful flowers with the Sister merch!!!"

However, this has not gone down too well with social media users who feel that Charles should first sort out the plagiarism accusations.

"What is wrong with this dude admit you did wrong and move on good god. doing this makes it so much worse," one person wrote.

"James just admit you were wrong, you’re making it hard to want to support you again," another person commented.

On Thursday, YouTuber Ethan Klein took to Twitter to accuse Charles of stealing designs from his wife Hila’s Teddy Fresh brand.

"I know we didn't invent colorblocking but I'm having a hard time w the new James Charles merch, it's the same exact design as Hila's. Combined with the fact that his audience is so huge, many people will assume he designed it and start accusing us of plagarism. What do you think?" he tweeted.

Charles quickly responded to the accusations saying, "When you DM’d me yesterday, I sent you the original photo that inspired my collection, explained I’ve never seen your brand, but also asked what you wanted me to do... You didn’t reply. After last year, I vowed to keep conversations private and create solutions, not drama."

The following day, Klein posted screenshots of their private conversation in which Charles says that "one of the color ways we're doing IS an exact copy of the purple tan pink and teal hoodies you guys have."

"Regardless, we don’t have the same fan base or demographic so there’s really no competition here," Charles adds.

Charles is yet to respond to this.
