Z-Nation
"Z Nation" Season 2, episode 13 will finally put Operation Bite Mark up against their mysterious and powerful new villain, the Zeros. Syfy

Just when it looked like the cure for the zombie apocalypse had finally been developed, the remaining survivors of “Z Nation” are about to realize they’ve been the subject of another big con. After encountering the infamous cartel known as the Zeroes, Operation Bite Mark may have to sever their new allegiance in order to keep humanity, and themselves, alive in Season 2, episode 13, "Adios, Muchachos."

After the gang was captured by the Zeros at the U.S. and Mexican border last week, they entered into a reluctant partnership as their leader La Reina (Gina Gershon) offered them an ultimatum. The Zeros had previously captured Dr. Kurian (Donald Corren) and put him to work developing a cure for the zombie outbreak. As diehard fans will remember, it was revealed in the Season 1 finale that Kurian is the man responsible for inadvertently developing the zombie virus in the first place. When the now famous Murphy (Keith Allan) showed up, he knew that he could use his uniquely “cured” blood to finally make the cure a reality. However, it was revealed to be an elaborate scam on Kurian’s part. The vaccine he told the Zeros he’d developed was nothing more than a serum that will make human beings susceptible to Murphy’s inexplicable zombie mind control powers. The hope is to use them on La Reina and, in doing so, become the puppet masters to the most powerful woman in the world. However, according to the episode 13 plot synopsis on TV Guide, that plan doesn’t get too far past the planning stage.

“All hell breaks loose when it’s discovered that Dr. Kurian’s Z-Vaccine doesn’t work at all and anyone who has been inoculated is now susceptible to Murphy’s unique brand of mind manipulation. Meanwhile, Warren tries to free Vasquez after he’s sentenced to death by la Reina.”

Not only does it seem as though Murphy has just given the most dangerous gang in the world a reason to forget he’s the last hope for humanity, but the gang also has to worry about their newest member after he was captured for trying to take revenge on the Zeros’ general, Escorpion (Emilio Rivera), for killing his wife and kids before the apocalypse.

Fortunately for Operation Bite Mark, they’ve still got one ace in the hole -- their always cool-headed leader Warren (Kellita Smith). In a sneak-peek video for the Dec. 4 episode, La Reina and Warren toast to a new world and share personal details with each other that hints at some kind of mutual understanding between the two leading ladies. Although it appears circumstance is about to make them mortal enemies, perhaps there’s still hope for some kind of diplomatic solution for what to do with Murphy.

Fans will just have to tune in to Season 2, episode 13 of “Z Nation” at 10:00 p.m. EST on Syfy to find out how it all shakes out between Operation Bite Mark and the Zeros.
