12-Year-Old Miami Boy Critical After Being Abducted, Sexually Assaulted And Shot

A 12-year-old boy, who was abducted off a street in Miami, sexually assaulted in a vehicle and shot before being forced out of the vehicle, remains in critical condition, according to the police.

The boy was reportedly walking on a street in Brownsville between 2 a.m. and 3 a.m. ET Saturday when a man, who was driving a black 4-door sedan, approached him. The suspect forced the victim into his car, drove him to a nearby area and sexually assaulted him inside the vehicle. The victim was then shot in the head and kicked out of the car, the news release said.

The victim managed to walk to a nearby open business and sought help. Miami-Dade Fire Rescue responded to the scene and transported the victim to a hospital where he remains in critical condition.

A witness, identified by the name Johnny, said he heard the boy screaming. "He was screaming, 'help someone, help me please,'" Johnny said as per news outlet Local 10.

"I bring him to the store so they can call the police for him," Johnny said. "He was conscious, then he fell on the sidewalk and said he had been shot."

Surveillance video from the area showed a man escorting the bleeding boy to a store where the boy collapsed. The person standing next to him called the police.

Johnny said he is grateful that he was at the right place at right time to help the teen boy. "I feel very good. I couldn't sleep at all that night, you know?" 7 News Miami quoted him as saying.

Police described the suspect as a tall Hispanic male aged 30 to 40 and with curly hair. They are seeking assistance from the community to identify the suspect and are requesting the public to contact them if they have any information regarding the incident.
