A 3-year-old girl has gone missing in California and is believed to have been abducted by her father, who did not return the child to her grandmother after a planned visit.

Officials have released details about the child and urged the public to come forward with any information they may have on her whereabouts.

The missing girl, Andrea Flores, was last seen in Millbrae before going missing between 9:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. Sunday, according to ABC7 News.

The San Mateo County Sheriff's Office identified the child's father, Victor Flores Enriquez, as a suspect and said the two might be on their way to Mexico.

As per a child custody order, Andrea and Victor are allowed to see each other three times a week in a public place. They had a meetup planned for Sunday, prior to the girl's disappearance.

Officials began searching for the girl after Victor failed to return the child to her grandmother.

"Andrea Flores may be the victim of a parental abduction," the sheriff's office said in a statement. "She is described as 3' tall and 36 lbs, blue eyes and brown braided hair. 3.5 years old. She was last seen in at 581 Magnolia Ave in Millbrae and may be in the company of her father, Victor Flores Enriquez."

Victor does not have a car of his own and is known to use ride-share apps or public transport to get around, officials reportedly said.

The father also recently made remarks about going back to Mexico, officials said, adding that the U.S. Customs and Border Protection is aware of the missing child, according to KRON.

Victor, described as a Hispanic male, is 5-foot-10 in height. He weighs 180 pounds and has brown hair and hazel eyes. He was wearing a blue t-shirt, blue denim jeans and had a black backpack when he was last sighted.

The missing girl, on the other hand, was last seen wearing a "Frozen" sweater that was pink and white in color. She was also wearing black pants with white stars and a pink beanie. Her brown hear was braided and had a bright green hair tie at the top of the braid at the time.

The sheriff's office urged the public to call 911 if they have any information that could help find the father and the child.
