Billie Lourd teased Winter’s dark storyline on “American Horror Story: Cult.” FX

“American Horror Story: Cult” has been descending deeper into darkness as the series progresses, and one of the stars of the show, Billie Lourd, shared some spoilers about her character Winter Anderson.

During a chat with Us Weekly, Lourd revealed that Winter will get “aggressive physically” on Season 7 of the FX series. “Sexually and then sexually aggressive,” the 25-year-old teased.

Lourd’s latest spoiler of the season comes after Winter showed signs that she was just as ruthless as her brother, Kai, played by Evan Peters. In “AHS: Cult” episode 8, Kai convinced Winter to participate in a threesome with himself and Detective Samuels (Colton Haynes). However, Winter changed her mind at the last minute.

When Samuels tried to sexually assault Winter later in the episode, she grabbed his gun, credited Valerie Solanas for helping her to see that men are scum, and shot him in the head. Winter later framed Beverly Hope (Adina Porter) for the murder, putting her life in danger, which makes viewers wonder if she has a bigger plan.

While Lourd wouldn’t get into specific details about her character’s next move, “American Horror Story” creator, Ryan Murphy, previously revealed that while the show will address some dark issues, it will be handled in a comical way. “The world we’re living in is ridiculous,” he said during a press screening in September.

“So, I think that the show, in some ways, is reflecting the idea that nothing makes sense, and the only way to get through it is to try and have some degree of humor about it,” Murphy explained.

While Lourd seems content with Winter’s future, the actress admitted that she is disappointed that Peters hasn’t been recognized for his talent. “He’s so so amazing and I want to start a campaign for him to win all the awards. He’s so talented and really, the end all be all, I love him so much,” she told Us Weekly.

“It’s wild to me that he hasn’t won any awards,” the actress said of her co-star who has appeared in every season of the show since its premiere in 2011.

Lourd went on to praise Peters for putting himself in dark places for the sake of his characters. Next up, the actor will be portraying Charles Manson in an upcoming episode of the FX series.

“American Horror Story: Cult” airs Tuesday at 10 p.m. EDT on FX.
