On Feb. 12, Hollywood therapist Dr. Amie Harwick was fatally injured at her home after being thrown from a third-story balcony. Harwick, who was once engaged to "The Price is Right" host Drew Carey, reportedly had injuries "consistent with a fall" when police responded to a 911 call. However, upon further examination, the model also showed signs of "manual strangulation."

The existing evidence led to the arrest of Harwick's ex-boyfriend, Gareth Pursehouse, in connection with her murder. After being taken into custody, Pursehouse was released from prison from a $2 million bond.

On Wednesday, Gareth Pursehouse was arrested for a second time. According to TMZ, the Los Angeles County District Attorney stated that the suspect was re-arrested "on a no bail warrant and was charged with one count each of murder and first-degree residential burglary with the special circumstance allegation of lying in wait."

Prior to her death, Harwick had obtained restraining orders against Pursehouse in both 2011 and 2012. As reported by CBS Los Angeles, neither of the aforementioned orders were in effect at the time of her death.

As stated by the publication, she had once told police that Pursehouse had exhibited violence towards her, including punching her and slamming her head on the ground. She also stated that he had also told her via text message that "things will get worse."

If he is ultimately convicted, he could face life in prison or the death penalty. It remains unclear whether or not the D.A. will pursue capital punishment. At this time, he is reportedly scheduled to be arraigned on Thursday.
