Amy Schumer has made her first public appearance since this year's Oscars. The 40-year-old comedian performed at the Aces of Comedy series held at the Mirage Theater in Las Vegas, Saturday, during which she talked about Will Smith's confrontation with Chris Rock and its link to "toxic masculinity."

During the show, which was originally scheduled for Nov. 4, 2021, but was postponed due to scheduling conflicts, the comedian said she was still speechless over what happened at the awards telecast on March 27.

"I don't even know what to say about the Oscars like I really don't know what to say, I have no jokes about it," she said, as per the Hollywood Reporter. "All I can say is that I don't know if you saw this but Will Smith slapped Chris Rock. Did you read that in your news feed?"

"I was kind of feeling myself … and then all of a sudden Ali was making his way up," she said about the moment leading to the incident. Apparently, she was referring to Will's role in the 2001 film in which he portrayed the boxer, Muhammad Ali.

"And it was just a f---ing bummer," she continued. "All I can say is that it was really sad, and I think it says so much about toxic masculinity."

"It was really upsetting, but I think the best way to comfort ourselves would be for me to say the Oscar jokes that I wasn't allowed to say on TV," she then said, explaining that her lawyer urged her to cut out jokes about James Franco's sexual assault allegations and another about the fatal shooting of "Rust" cinematographer Halyna Hutchins.

"'Don't Look Up' is the name of a movie, more like don't look down the barrel of Alec Baldwin's shotgun," Schumer shared.

"I wasn't allowed to say any of that but you can just come up and [clock] someone," she lamented.

Will slapped Rock for making a joke about his wife, Jada Pinkett Smith, who has alopecia. The remark prompted the 53-year-old "King Richard" star to charge the stage and then shout from his seat, "Keep my wife's name out of your f---ing mouth."

Since the incident, Will has apologized to Rock and resigned from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, which is still investigating the situation. Based on its findings, it will decide whether there will be more consequences for the actor, according to Page Six.

Many of Will's projects have reportedly been put on hold as well due to the incident.
