Amy Schumer got candid about her perception of her body and why she decided to get a liposuction.

The "Trainwreck" star admitted that she wasn't pleased with her appearance, so she decided to have a liposuction. At present, the comedian only weighs 170 pounds, and she has no regrets about her decision even if she never thought she would go under the knife.

"Everybody on camera is doing this s--t, I just wanted to be real about it," Schumer told The Hollywood Reporter.

The comedian has been open about her struggles with endometriosis and an unsuccessful round of IVF for a second baby.

The actress said her "uterus didn't contract for two and a half years," and she was already 40. She will turn 41 in June and at this point in her life, the "I Feel Pretty" star wanted to feel better about her body.

"It's not about needing to be slamming because I've never been famous for being hot, but I'd reached a place where I was tired of looking at myself in the mirror," Schumer explained.

Earlier this year, the "Snatched" star rocked a slimmer frame when she shared a photo of her wearing a black swimsuit on Instagram. In the caption, she detailed her health struggles and what she went through in the past months.

Schumer also thanked the people who helped her, including Dr. Jordan, a board-certified plastic surgeon who specializes in the surgery of the face, breast and body. He was the one who did her liposuction.

"I feel good. Finally, it's been a journey thanks for helping me get my strength back @seckinmd (endo) @jordanternermd (lipo) never thought I would do anything but talk to me after your uterus doesn't contract for 2.5 years and you turn 40," she wrote. "@paulvincent22 vickie Lee (acupuncture) my girl Nicole from the tox my friends and fam. Let's go!"

Schumer will be back to doing stand-up comedy later this year. She has no idea what crowd size to expect but made it clear that she never saw her shift to smaller venues as a demotion.

"I was saying what I really think, which is freeing," the comedian told THR. "And also, I came into this business with enough awareness to know that it was going to be rocky."

At the same time, Schumer didn't hide her interest in performing on the world's biggest stage.

"I’m not Chappelle or these comics who I guess have more integrity than me, who are like, ‘I’d rather do five shows [in more intimate venues]," she added. "I’m like, ‘I want to go where the hockey team plays.'"
