A man from Anchorage was charged with arson, attempted murder and felony assault in a house fire on Friday, Feb. 19.

Freddi Fox, 66, was arrested after Anchorage police and firefighters responded to a fire around 2 AM on Eagle Street and saw two people dragging a man out of a buolding who was subsequently transported to a hospital, Washington Times reported.

Investigators belive that Fox broke a window, set something on fire ad threw the burning object and an accelrant into the apartment through a window he broke.

Police said that the suspect fled afterward.

The man who was hospitalised was Fox's relative.

The police have not yet determined a motive.

Foxi is reportedly represented by the Alaska Public Defender Agency, which did not give any comment regarding the case as per their policy.
