Between working from home and playing all sorts of hot, new game releases, people are spending more and more time at home seated in front of a computer. Similar to how you shouldn't cut costs when it comes to buying a mattress, an office chair should also be an investment. Enter company AndaSeat, who has a new chair called the T-Pro 2. This chair is roomy and comfortable, making it ideal for both gamers and those working from home.

Bulky, But Spacious

The AndaSeat T-Pro 2 is a big, bulky chair. This is both a blessing and a slight curse. It's a blessing in the sense that the chair doesn't feel small or constricting. Its large size allows for more room to fit in it, making the T-Pro 2 different from other gaming chairs on the market. This isn't one of those race car-style seats.

Of course, the bigger the chair, the more space it takes up. My office isn't exactly the biggest, and my fianc? happens to work in the same room that I do. I often have to slide out of the way or reposition myself for my fianc? to be able to squeeze by. This isn't a major concern, but those who need to be conscious of their space limitations may need to make some measurements before buying the T-Pro 2.

Additionally, the T-Pro 2 is fairly heavy. This also isn't too much of a concern, as the wheels on the bottom make it easy to roll the chair wherever you want it to go, but it's something to keep in mind when having to pack or move furniture around.

Customizable Comfort

So the AndaSeat T-Pro 2 may be spacious, but is it comfortable? Oh baby, is it ever. This chair is firm, yet soft and offers some great support where needed. The bottom cushion is made of foam, so it retains its shape while still offering a plush resting place for your behind. The back of the chair isn't as plush, but its rigidity is nice for offering back support.

The best part is that the T-Pro 2 is highly customizable to help users get just the right fit. Perhaps the most customizable aspect of the T-Pro 2 is its arm rests. These can be modified in four different ways. The arm rest can be moved forward or back, side to side, up and down, and can be rotated. While the side to side movement isn't as pronounced as the other three, it still overall is a wild amount of customization, and more than I've ever seen on a chair before.

The T-Pro 2 comes with two support cushions. One fits perfectly into the back of the chair to offer lumbar support, while the other can be attached to the top of the chair for head and neck support. The lumbar cushion is a must, and makes the T-Pro 2 even more comfortable. Taking the cushion out just makes the chair feel incomplete.

The head/neck cushion, on the other hand, is not as necessary. I found the cushion to be a little too plush, making my head stick out at an awkward angle. I think that if I were a little taller, the cushion would fit nicely into my neck. As it is now, the back of my head hits the cushion, forcing my head to tilt forward. The cushion uses an elastic band and clip to attach to the top of the chair. The band is small, so the cushion can't really be repositioned that easily. Thankfully, I found that the T-Pro 2 is just as comfortable without the cushion, so I have opted to not use it.

While all of this customization is great, there is one minor drawback. The rotational adjustment for the arm rests doesn't have a locking mechanism like the other three adjustment methods. That means it is very easy to knock the arm rests into a different angle, especially when pushing down on them to stand up or when sitting down. While this is a little annoying, it's easy enough to just knock the arm rests back into your desired position after they have been moved.

Even More Customization

The arm rests and cushions aren't the only customizable aspects of the AndaSeat T-Pro 2. The angle of the backrest can be adjusted with a lever on the side of the chair. This is similar to a car's chair modification controls. The back of the chair can be reclined until it is almost parallel with the ground. This isn't exactly comfortable, but it is possible if someone wanted to do it.

There is also a built-in "rocking chair" type function. This allows those in the T-Pro 2 to lean back in their chair if they want. Of course, if someone doesn't like leaning back and wants something more sturdy, the rocking chair function can be locked to keep the chair in place.

Like with just about any other office chair, the T-Pro 2 can be raised and lowered. Raising and lowering the chair requires the use of a handle tucked under the seat. The T-Pro 2 doesn't really have that big of a difference between its highest and lowest point, but raising it up will probably be beneficial for tall people. The one annoying thing about raising and lowering the T-Pro 2 is that the handle is hidden under an arm rest so it's a little tough to get to.

Simple Building Process

My AndaSeat T-Pro 2 came in a box, which meant that it needed to be assembled. This was a bit of a challenge for me, but it didn't take that long. The worst part involved having to line up some heavy or awkward parts and screw them in properly. The screws aren't easy to put in either, as many times construction requires that screws get put through fabric. Like with many things, the T-Pro 2 can be built by one person, but is much easier with a second set of hands.

Muted Gamer Looks

Many people I talk to about computer chairs say they would like the support and comfort of a gaming chair, but don't really like the racing-style look. The AndaSeat T-Pro 2 does still have the skeleton of a racing-style gaming chair, but its overall design is more muted than the gamer-oriented products.

The T-Pro 2 does have gaming chair influences like the support cushions and the overall design, but that's where the similarities end. The T-Pro 2 doesn't use faux leather and instead is covered in a linen fabric. This helps the chair feel more at home in an office setting and doesn't make you feel like you're getting strapped in for a wild ride. The T-Pro 2 also comes in three muted color options. There is an all-black chair, the gray/black one I have, and a blue/black option as well.

Hilariously, the optional neck cushion does make the chair look like it is wearing a bowtie. Once I made that connection, I couldn't un-see it. Now you must all share this knowledge with me.

Final Thoughts

To put it simply, I love the AndaSeat T-Pro 2. This is a seriously comfortable chair, and makes sitting and working at my desk all day a much more pleasant experience. The amount of customization options means I can get the chair exactly how I want it, and can change that up easily if I prefer different set-ups for work or gaming.

The T-Pro 2 may be a little bulky and heavy, but that added space just provides more comfort and room to sit. Given its size and comfort levels, the T-Pro 2 really is the Cadillac of chairs.
