Brad Pitt and Marion Cotillard’s chemistry in their upcoming movie “Allied” is “electric,” the film’s producer Graham King told People magazine. This comes after several reports previously claimed that Pitt’s rumored closeness with Cotillard caused problems with his wife Angelina Jolie.

On Wednesday, People posted the first look of “Allied,” which is slated to hit theaters in November. Pitt, who plays a British intelligence officer in the movie, develops a romantic relationship with Cotillard, a French Resistance fighter who poses as his wife. The two actors had spent time together before the shooting for the movie began in order to work on their performances, the magazine reported.

“Brad and Marion immediately had the utmost respect for each other, so once they delved into their characters, their chemistry was electric,” King told People.

“It was crucial for Brad and Marion to not only begin rehearsing together before the shoot, but they also spent a lot of time developing their characters with the director, Robert Zemeckis,” King said. “By the time we got to set, it was really amazing to see these characters already feel lived in and real.”

For past several months, Pitt’s marriage with Jolie has become tabloid fodder over their rumored troubles, which included his chemistry with Cotillard. Several reports claimed that Jolie was furious with her husband for flirting with Cotillard on the sets of “Allied” that further pushed the couple to their rumored divorce. However, those reports went unsubstantiated.

Last month, Jolie and Pitt seemingly dismissed divorce rumors after they were spotted indulging in PDA during an outing in Los Angeles. Pictures showed the couple visiting Jamba Juice where Pitt wrapped his arms around Jolie from behind during the day out. The two were also seen spending family time as they celebrated twins Knox and Vivienne’s birthday in a low-key outing at a local cafe.
