“Ant-Man’s” Hope Van Dyne (Evangeline Lilly) may soon wear Wasp’s supersuit and set out on adventures with Ant-Man (Paul Rudd). In his discussion with Cinema Blend, Marvel boss Kevin Feige discussed the future of Lilly’s character as Wasp in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

He said there is possibility of Lilly appearing as Wasp in future Marvel films. “It’s going to be fun to see Hope for the first time, put that suit on and go out with Scott. We didn’t want it to become just a moment amongst moments. So whether we actually get to see it in a standalone Ant-Man film, or as a larger part of a future film, we’re still figuring that out.”

When asked about her appearance in “Captain America: Civil War,” Feige replied, “No, 'Civil War' has a lot of things going on it, and it feels like with 'Ant-Man,' we just saw all of his things.”

In the comics, Van Dyne takes the identity of Red Queen. She uses implanted bio wings to fly and shoots bioelectric blasters and also has extendable claws built into her gloves. She also sets up a group called the Revengers as she thinks she is the right heir to the Avengers and not Scott Lang’s daughter Cassie. The character first appeared in “A-Next” No. 7.

In the film she keeps on urging her father, Hank Pym (Michael Douglas) to wear the suit of Ant-Man, and in mid-credit sequence it is revealed that Pym has been preparing a new suit for her. Apparently, Lilly has already tried her supersuit and she told Cinema Blend the plan of her appearance as a superhuman in a future Marvel film is being reworked. “There was an original plan and it got scrapped. … I can’t tell you. And now we’re refabricating plans and they’re still up in the air. We still don’t know,” she said.

“Ant-Man” hit the theaters on July 17. It has made more than $113 million so far and is being considered a box office success.
