Kaneda is upset with Ashito and his friends in "Aoashi" Episode 17. The new episode is titled "Tokyo Metropolis League Match 7 – Tama Sports Science University High School."

The official website has released the synopsis and spoiler stills of Episode 17. Kaneda and Nakano, who are on the same team, reunite with Ashito.

The duo failed the selection of Tokyo Esperion during the try-outs and Kaneda still blames Ashito for not passing the ball during the crucial moment.

Meanwhile, Nakano reveals that they both are now part of the Tokyo Musashino Youth Team.

Nakano is delighted to meet Ashito and the rest, but Kaneda is still furious.

In the previous episode of the anime, Ashito was closely watching the old matches featuring Kuribayashi. He remembered that there was something in Kuribayashi’s game that he can incorporate into his own.

Later, he met Nozomi and asked for all the footage he had of Kuribayashi’s games. The episode shifted back to the match where Aoi was playing defense. But for some reason, Ashito seemed distracted and was asked to focus on the game by his team members.

Meanwhile, the coaches wondered if Ashito lost motivation to play as he hasn’t been able to focus throughout the week.

“Advised by Takeshima and Anri that he should study Kuribayashi's movements, Ashito pours over the broadcast of the J1 match to see Kuribayashi's play. Combing over the past footage of Kuribayashi's play, Ashito realizes that what set Kuribayashi apart is how he turns his head,” reads the official synopsis of Episode 16, as per Crunchyroll.

“Ashito tries to incorporate it into his practice right away, but it only confuses him. In his teammates' eyes, that confusion looks like being unmotivated for having to play a full-back,” it continues.

The anime is based on the original work by Yugo Kobayashi. Its opening theme, "Mushin Hakusu," is performed by Alexandros, while the closing theme song, titled "Blue Diary," is by Rinne.

"Aoashi" Episode 17 is scheduled to release Saturday. Fans in the U.S. can tune into Crunchyroll to live stream the latest episode. The new episode will stream in Japanese with English subtitles.
