Apple’s new Thunderbolt connection for MacBook Pro and, soon to be launched MacBook Air has been released. The connection is costly and is priced at $49, but it is very fast.
The connection will make bi-directional transfer between the user’s laptop and peripheral devices very fast. A 10Gbps bi-directional link will make big data transfers possible in the least amount of time.
The Thunderbolt will require well-suited hardware and a cable. The price tag of the device, however, may be a reason for many customers’ dissatisfaction.
The cost, however, may drop in the future when the cable components will get refined and there is a mass production, the Geek reported.
