“World of Warcraft: Shadowlands” is expected to arrive this year, and Blizzard has decided to show players what they’re in for. The developer revealed details about one of the four major zones that players will be exploring as they make their way in Azeroth.

Game Informer reported that players can choose which faction they want to join in Shadowlands. They will have access to a covenant hall. Aside from that, they can also choose which mount they want, transmog armor abilities, and a whole lot more. Players should note that their covenant identity is the most important part of their journey through the Shadowlands.

Blizzard gave players an early peek into the strange new land with Ardenweald, a realm where the Night Fae resides and one of the four zones that players can travel to. Ardenweald is home to druids and followers of the Emerald Dream. It also gives off a feeling of winter instead of summer. Players can choose this covenant once Shadowlands launches.

According to Gamespot, Blizzard is raring to reveal even more of these zones and areas. The developer has confirmed a livestream event which will reveal more of these areas happening on June 9. During the stream, game director Ion Hazzikotas and executive producer John Hight will discuss some ideas regarding the new expansion and what it will bring.

The “World of Warcraft: Shadowlands” livestream event can be watched starting from 9 am PT / 12 pm ET on the day itself. It will be broadcast live from the WoW Twitch and YouTube channels. Some media outlets will also stream the live event as part of an ongoing  campaign for people who are sheltering in place while playing games.

People who want more details about the different creatures residing in the Ardenweald can get the full list on the World of Warcraft site. Like many of the afterlife zones in-game, Ardenweald comes with its own signature inhabitants, as well as environments that set the zone apart from the others. “World of Warcraft: Shadowlands” doesn’t have a definite release date yet, but an official announcement is expected any time soon.
