A newly uncovered deleted scene from “Avengers: Infinity War” includes an alternate, and far more brutal, demise of Thanos' henchman Corvus Glaive (Michael Shaw) at the literal hands of Vision (Paul Bettany). Vision, who displays an array of physics-defying abilities, literally tears the heart out of the evil invader.

The “Infinity War” deleted scene shows Vision and Corvus fighting in what looks like Doctor Strange’s New York Sanctum Santorum in a low-quality CGI representation of what the scene could have looked like. Corvus deflects Vision’s attacks and then leaps down the stairs towards him. As he reaches for the Mind Stone embedded in Vision’s head, the mystical robot is able to phase through him to get the upper hand. He reaches inside Corvus Glaive with both hands and pulls out his heart, causing him to fall to the ground, dead.

While the “Infinity Saga” box set was released in November 2019, this is the first time fans who couldn’t afford the steep $549.99 price got to take a look at it. The reason it appears in such low quality is that it was originally in the script until they changed it to what we have in the final product of the film, in which Vision impales Corvus Glaive with his own scepter.

According to ComicBookMovie, fans had previously criticized the immensely powerful Vision of being rather useless during “Infinity War.” This deleted scene shows him using his powers in the fullest to take down his personal foe.

Vision’s phase abilities are something we’ve seen in previous Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) films like “Captain America: Civil War.” He startles Wanda by shifting through the wall and in a humorous moment, phase shifts through a confused and startled Ant-Man.

This Vision and Corvus Glaive deleted scene likely didn’t make it to the final cut of the film so that the alien warrior could make it to the end of the film, giving him more screen time.
