The rejected contestants of ABC’s “The Bachelor” and “The Bachelorette” are getting another shot of love on “Bachelor in Paradise” Season 5.

Tuesday, Aug. 7 will mark the 2018 premiere of the spinoff series showing fan favorites from both competitions shows looking for love in paradise. This time around, the cast will also include the addition of “Bachelor Winter Game” castoffs.

The premiere will kick off with a bachelorette arriving at the show’s Mexican resort with “literal and emotional baggage in tow,” according to the network’s episode 1 synopsis.

This lovelorn lady makes it clear that she is there for one former flame, even though she has no idea where his feelings stand or if he’ll even be joining her in Paradise.

The unidentified cast member will reportedly be disappointed when her preferred gentleman doesn’t show on day one. Her luck turns around, however, when the first date card has her name it and she decides to go on a “romantic escapade” with a castaway from Becca Kufrin’s season. The date ends up going well, surprising the rest of the cast. Things turn sour, however, when the man the women was originally hoping to see arrives in paradise the following day.

Much to the chagrin of her date from night one, she is quick to accept another chance with her past love and hops aboard his jet ski. The rejected bachelor left behind is convinced that the man from his sweet date’s past has the wrong intentions, and he, along with some of the others, are itching for a confrontation when the couple returns.

ABC isn’t saying if this female cast member is Tia or if her preferred man is Colton, but photos from episode 1 make it clear it is. One image from the premiere shows Tia getting cozy with Joe, who is from Becca’s season. Additional shots show her riding on a jet ski with Colton and them enjoying time together on a boat. (It appears things will go well for them as we already know this won’t be there only date this season!)

Elsewhere in the premiere, another cast member is “thrilled” that Joe, the grocery store owner who was eliminated by Becca during her premiere, wasn’t picked for the first date. Things take a dramatic turn though when he shows interest in “her nemesis.” In return, “she focuses her attention on a sexy Canadian lad.”

This second teaser could very well be about Krystal. Premiere photos show her chatting up Kenny, Joe, and Kevin, who happens to be from the Canadian “Bachelor” edition.

Season 5 of “Bachelor in Paradise” airs Tuesday, Aug. 7, at 8 p.m. EDT with a two-hour premiere on ABC.
