Bailee Madison was born to be a Wildcat, and apparently we’re not the only ones who think so! After Disney announced it was continuing the wildly popular “High School Musical” franchise with a fourth installment, fans of the “Good Witch” star began campaigning for Madison to appear in the upcoming made-for-TV musical.

“I’m just super humbled,” Madison told International Business Times, expressing gratitude for her passionate fans. “They’re so kind. They have my back and really support me.”

Some ways Madison’s fans have been showing their support is by signing petitions and flooding social media with hashtags urging Disney to cast the 16-year-old actress in the forthcoming flick. “Now I kind of want it to happen just for their sake,” Madison quipped. “They’re using a lot of time and thumb power on this!”

In addition to not wanting to disappoint her fans, Madison told IBT that she has her own reasons for wanting to attend East High School.

“I am a huge fan of ‘High School Musical.’ I’ve watched every movie, I know every word,” she gushed. “Obviously I was excited when I heard they were doing a new one. And then I saw all these hashtags that fans of mine [created], then it kind of turned into something.”

Madison, who has starred in several Disney-owned series like “Once Upon a Time” and “Wizards of Waverly Place,” went on to say that if the network was interested in casting her in the choreographed drama, which first premiered in 2006, then she’d be elated to sing and dance down the halls of East High — something she proved in a recent Twitter video.

Madison explained to IBT that while she was filming another project, that just so happened to take place in a school, she decided to channel her inner Gabriella (Vanessa Hudgens) by singing the song “When There Was Me and You” as she danced down the empty hallways of her set.

Currently, Disney is searching for five new leads to star in the anticipated fourth installment, which will be written by the franchise's original writer, Peter Barsocchini. Do you think Bailee Madison will snag one of those roles?
