Former U.S. President Barack Obama has come up with a list of his favorite songs so far this 2020. The list he shared on social media features songs from artists like Billie Eilish, Beyonce, Megan Thee Stallion, and many more.

While sharing a personal update on his official Twitter handle, the 59-year-old politician listed a total of 53 songs that he completely adored this year. The songs included the likes of Billie Eilish’s “My Future,” Beyonce’s “Already,” and Megan Thee Stallion’s “Savage Remix," Rolling Stone reported.

Eilish’s track has been deemed as one of the best songs of 2020 by many critics. Rolling Stone, in its review, wrote that “My Future” is Eilish’s “most uplifting song to date.” Meanwhile, NME gave the song four stars.

Following its release, “My Future” debuted at number 6 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, becoming the artist’s third top 10 hit in the United States and her highest debut on the chart.

The tracks included on the list were from different genres and different eras.

Other songs that made it to the list were “Don’t Walk Away” (John Legend and Koffee), “Texas Sun” (Leon Bridges and Khruangbin ), “Do I Do” (Stevie Wonder), and “My Baby Just Cares For Me” (Nina Simone).

“Over the past few months, I've spent a lot of time listening to music with my family. I wanted to share some of my favorites from the summer - including songs from some of the artists performing at this week's @DemConvention. As always, it's a mix of genres that travels through various eras. I think there's something in here for everybody - hope you enjoy it,” Obama tweeted alongside the list.

The artists yet to perform at the 2020 Democratic National Convention are Billie Eilish, Common, and The Chicks. Meanwhile, Billy Porter has already performed at the annual event.

Other notable songs on Obama’s list were Princess Nokia's “Gemini,” Moses Sumney's “Rank & File,” and Frank Ocean's “Cayendo.”

The American attorney has a habit of sharing the list of numerous movies, songs, and books that he adores. Last year, he shared a list of his favorite movies on Twitter. The list included Martin Scorsese’s “The Irishman,” Noah Baumbach’s “Marriage Story,” Greta Gerwig’s “Little Women” and Bong Joon-Ho’s Oscar-winning movie “Parasite.”

"Even as we sit here, there are those in power who are doing their darndest to discourage people from voting by closing polling locations and targeting minorities and students with restrictive ID laws and attacking our voting rights with surgical precision," Obama says.
