  • Ben Affleck continues to respect and love Jennifer Garner years after their divorce

Ben Affleck recently gave a heartbreaking response after he was asked to discuss his current relationship with Jennifer Garner years after their divorce.

While speaking with People, Affleck said that he’s forever connected to Garner because of their children. He also said that he’s very lucky because Garner is the mother of his three kids, Violet, 14, Seraphina, 12, and Samuel, 7.

The “Batman v Superman” star also admitted that it’s difficult to think that his marriage to Garner didn’t work. But he will also be respectful and grateful to her.

“Both of us really believe that it’s important for kids to see their parents respect one another and get along, whether they’re together or not,” he said.

Garner and Affleck were together for over a decade before news broke out that they have decided to call it quits. Reports claimed that Affleck’s infidelity was what caused his marriage to the “13 Going On 30” star to fall apart.

But during her interview with Vanity Fair, Garner denied the allegations by saying that her marriage to Affleck was no longer working even before she found out about his affair with their children’s nanny.

“Let me just tell you something. We had been separated for months before I ever heard about the nanny. She had nothing to do with our decision to divorce. She was not a part of the equation,” she said.

Shortly after the couple announced their separation, Garner and Affleck made the conscious decision to stay friends for the sake of their children. During Affleck’s relapse, Garner was always there.

While speaking with the New York Times earlier this month, Affleck admitted that his divorce from Garner is the biggest regret of his life. He also said that he’s grateful because Garner never left his side despite all of his shortcomings.

And during his conversation with “Good Morning America,” Affleck admitted that if only he could, he would like to go back in time and change some things.
