Beyoncé Knowles has released a live music video for I Was Here, a ballad from her latest album, 4.

The music video, featuring snippets of her 4-night gig at New York City's Roseland Ballroom in the summer, is mashed up with personal footage from the entertainer's life.

On Thursday, the most-talked about personal footage from I Was Here was Beyoncé's wedding dress from her 2008 nuptials with Jay-Z.

The power couple is expecting their first child, a girl, in the New Year.

It's taken a lot of hard work to get to where I am. I searched all around the world and I found myself, Beyoncé says at the beginning of I Was Here.

You all are my inspiration. I want to sing this last song, dedicated to all of you guys. Help me sing it. I love you, the 30-year-old entertainer tells the Roseland crowd.

The emotional music video includes footage from Beyoncé's childhood in Houston, her early stage performances for various talent shows and her Destiny's Child days.

Her encounters with figures like Nelson Mandela, Michael Jackson, Barack Obama, Tina Turner and Oprah Winfrey are also highlighted in the music video.

Beyoncé, who appears to be super emotional in the live performance, also shares her personal highs in the video - meeting the love of her life, getting married and announcing her pregnancy.

Since the start of their relationship, Beyoncé and Jay-Z have remained one of the most private couples in the industry. The rare footage of her wedding dress shows the singer smiling from ear-to-ear in a strapless gown.

The release of I Was Here is in anticipation of Beyoncé's upcoming live concert DVD, titled Live At Roseland: Elements of 4. This week, the live music video for End of Time was also released to promote the DVD.

Since releasing 4 in June, Beyoncé has produced six music videos for her singles Party, Love on Top, Countdown, Best Thing I Never Had, 1+1 and Run the World (Girls).

Beyoncé remains one of the most successful female artists of all time, with more than 75 million records sold worldwide.
