Disney+ has been missing one of Marvel Studios’ billion-dollar babies. “Black Panther,” the only Marvel Studios movie to win Oscars, will finally come home to the Mouse House’s streaming service next month.

On Sunday, Disney+ reminded viewers about the streaming release date (which has been on the title’s landing page for a while). In a tweet, the company noted that “Black Panther” will be available starting March 4.

At press time, “Black Panther” is still streaming on Netflix. Marvel Studios’ other 2018 movies, “Avengers: Infinity War” and “Ant-Man and the Wasp,” are also still available on the veteran streamer.

These were the final movies from the comic book studio that had deals to stream on Netflix. They will likely leave Netflix at some point in the near future, and they’ll definitely join their parent company’s streaming service. “Ant-Man and the Wasp” will head to Disney+ on July 29, 2020, and “Avengers: Infinity War” will join the family on June 20, 2020.

Moving forward, Disney titles will not go to Netflix. Movies like 2022’s “Black Panther 2” are expected to release on the new service about seven months after they debut in theaters.

“Black Panther” will be the 18th Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) movie on Disney+. Avengers enthusiasts know that there are 23 movies in the MCU so far, but it’s unlikely they’ll all be on the service. Even after the “Ant-Man” sequel and “Infinity War” get the green light, there will still be three movies missing. That’s because Disney isn’t the sole rights holder.

Still missing are “The Incredible Hulk” (2008), which is owned by Universal, as well as Sony’s “Spider-Man: Homecoming” (2016) and “Spider-Man: Far From Home” (2019). There are no plans to add the movies to Disney+ at this point.

“We love our friends at Sony, but we don’t have any plans to have the live-action Spider-Man movies on Disney+,” Disney+ head of content Ricky Strauss told The Verge. “We will have all the Spider-Man animated shows that we did so they’ll be on there under the Marvel banner. But who knows what can happen in the future?”

However, Disney+ will soon have MCU titles that can't be seen anywhere else. The first of Marvel Studios' limited series, "The Falcon and the Winter Soldier," will release in August followed by "WandaVision" in December.
