‘Blindspot’
Jane (Jaimie Alexander) and Kurt (Sullivan Stapleton) may or may have tied the knot in the time jump in “Blindspot” Season 3. NBC

“Blindspot” Season 3, episode 1 will feature a series of flashbacks that will show what happened to Jane Doe (Jaimie Alexander) and their peers during the past 18 months.

While speaking with Entertainment Weekly, executive producer Martin Gero said that the NBC series will have a time jump in the premiere. “You’ll see flashbacks. We hope to fill in a lot of it right away in the first two to three minutes of the show. No fan of the show will want to miss the opening of the season that will endeavor to fill in a lot of what the hell is going on. Why did she run away? Are Jane and Weller married? All those questions will be answered in the first few minutes,” he said.

Last month, TV Guide reported that Jane and Kurt Weller (Sullivan Stapleton) will be cohabitating in Season 3. In the finale episode for Season 2, Jane slept on Weller’s bed for the first time. The final moments in last season’s finale featured a flash-forward to a time when Jane and Weller no longer seem to be together and are instead avoiding each other. By the looks of it, Jane and Weller will become a couple and then split up two years later.

Meanwhile, Jane and Weller aren’t the only characters who will have major storylines in “Blindspot” Season 3. According to Entertainment Weekly, Patterson’s (Ashley Johnson) whereabouts will also be revealed. It was also confirmed that Patterson will be involved with one very familiar face, though not someone that fans would expect.

In the finale for Season 2, Patterson was kidnapped, but she managed to escape from her abductors. The character, who is responsible for expertly cracking the codes of Jane’s tattoos, will also have longer hair in the upcoming episodes. One fan commented about Patterson’s physical appearance via a comment on TV Line. The fan claimed that Johnson herself revealed to fans that she got hair extensions for her role in “Blindspot.”

“Blindspot” Season 3 will premiere on NBC on Oct. 27 at 8 p.m. EST.
