West Palm Beach, Florida -- A horrific 911 call about blood seeping from a Florida condominium led to the grisly discovery of three dead bodies.

The incident occurred in the West Palm Beach area in southeastern Florida's Palm Beach County, on Sunday. Deputies were called to conduct a welfare check at around 10 p.m. ET in Paradise Cove Condominium near Palm Beach Lakes boulevard after someone saw blood escaping from the unit, WESH reported.

Upon arriving, police encountered a horrific scene inside the apartment--the bodies of a 37-year-old man, a 32-year-old woman, and a third female victim whose age wasn't immediately determined, NBC 5 reported.

The identities of the three victims weren't released. It is also not clear if they belonged to the same family.

Police have recovered a gun from inside the apartment and detectives are of the belief the shooting is a result of a domestic dispute.

A neighbor, Everett Hamilton, said the area was cordoned off following the discovery. "The parking lot was all yellow tape, and there were a lot of police officers, police cars, firetrucks, paramedics," Hamilton told Action News 5. "It’s very disappointing to know that somebody lost their life. A lot of collateral damage. I’m sure a lot of people involved, family members and loved ones."

Another neighbor, Immanuel Smith, said he was in "disbelief" when he learned of the incident. "Disbelief, that's my first thought. But my first reaction is fear, I feel like I can't get away from the gun violence. I moved from a violent area to move back into a violent area," Smith told WPEC.

Another resident, who identified herself as Nicole, said police blocked the condominium after arriving. "It was chaos. There were 15-20 cars and they had it all blocked off. None of the residents could get over there. It was a nightmare," she told WPTV.

Police are trying to piece together information as part of the investigation. Officers said there were no signs of forced entry and the three deceased were all residents of the condo. A medical examiner will determine the exact cause of the deaths.
