Bobbi Kristina Brown, the daughter of Bobby Brown and late singer Whitney Houston, died Sunday at Peachtree Christian Hospice in Georgia. She was 22.

Brown had been hospitalized since Jan. 31 after her boyfriend, Nick Gordon, discovered her unresponsive in a bathtub in their Roswell, Georgia, home. At the time she was placed in a medically induced coma and breathing with the help of a ventilator.

The Houston family released the following statement to E! News: "Bobbi Kristina Brown passed away on Sunday, July 26, 2015, surrounded by her family. She is finally at peace in the arms of God. We want to again thank everyone for their tremendous amount of love and support these last few months."

Brown, who was born on March 4, 1993, lost her mother a little over two years ago. On Feb. 11, 2012, the award winning singer was found submerged in a bathtub at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. The coroner’s office reported at the time the 48-year-old’s death was due to accidental drowning. Cocaine and heart disease were also factors.

After months of being unresponsive and in a coma, Brown was moved in March to a rehab facility in the Atlanta-area. On June 24 her conditioned worsened, forcing her family to transfer her to the nearby hospice. She was also taken off medications. The Houston family released the following statement to People magazine:

"Despite the great medical care at numerous facilities, [her] condition has continued to deteriorate. As of today, she has been moved into hospice care. We thank everyone for their support and prayers. She is in God's hands now."

Meanwhile, Bobbi Kristina's boyfriend is reportedly under investigation for involvement in her hospitalization and death. TMZ reported a criminal investigation was opened following her hospitalization when doctors discovered bruising on her body. Gordon told police the bruising was from attempts to provide Bobbi Kristina with CPR. However, the bruises allegedly did not match the story. A report later released stated that she was missing a tooth and had a swollen mouth.

"In view of the new circumstances regarding the health status of Bobbi Kristina Brown, we will be reviewing the case with greater interest," the Fulton County prosecutor said June 25.

Bobbi Kristina's estate has filed a $10 million lawsuit against Gordon; he was served with papers in Florida July 12. Led by the aspiring singer's court appointed conservator, Bedelia Hargrove, Gordon is accused of "transferring funds from her account to his account." TMZ reported Gordon allegedly took $11,000 from his girlfriend after her January hospitalization. He is also accused of causing her "substantial" physical harm.

On Wednesday, after a hearse was seen near the hospice, Bobbi Kristina's aunt Leolah Brown wrote a cryptic Facebook post saying "Peace be to you all."
