Bobbi Kristina Brown’s cousin Jerod Brown thanked Tyler Perry for coming to the defense of his sister and her family after speculation on whether she was still alive heightened Thursday. According to some reports, two hearses were spotted at the hospice care where the 22-year-old was moved in June.

Perry, a friend of the late Whitney Houston, released a statement pleading with fans and media to respect the privacy of the Brown and the Houston families during "this awful time." Bobbi Kristina’s father, Bobby Brown, and Perry traveled to Atlanta to visit Bobbi Kristina at the Peachtree Christian Hospice on Friday, People magazine reported. Other family members also reached the hospice care on Thursday and Friday.

Perry’s request for "decency and respect" reportedly came after her visit.

“Well said...Thanks for your support,” Jerod wrote on his Facebook account while posting the full statement by Perry:

This morning I woke up with Whitney on my mind. I couldn’t help but think about all that she must have dreamed for her child. I know this was not her dream… And as difficult as this time is for the people that love both Whitney and Krissi, what makes it more egregious is the blatant disrespect, lies, and ignorance that are rapidly printed in this awful time. For some reason, it has become human nature in our society to look for, seek out, and celebrate darkness, glory in tragedy, and enjoy reading and reporting it. It makes me sad to know that everybody wants to be the first to report something awful. So much so, that they find it OK to speak death onto those who are still alive. May I ask you all to please show some decency and respect? Not only to Krissi’s family, but also to the other families that are there in this place. Not only is Krissi at the center but there are several other families who are grieving the loss of their loved ones at the same time. It’s heartbreaking to think that even in a time like this, this child is still not allowed any peace. I assure you, the family will issue an official statement if something changes. Until then, can we just pray for Krissi, and the Houston and Brown families?Brown's visit to his daughter came just a week after he and wife Alicia Etheredge welcomed their new-born daughter, Bodhi Jameson Rein, in Los Angeles.

Months of treatment at several medical facilities have so far failed to revive the only daughter of Bobby Brown and the late Whitney Houston, who was found unresponsive in a bathtub at her Atlanta home in January.

Late Wednesday, a black hearse appeared in the hospice followed by a white one, raising concern among friends and family about Bobbi Kristina's condition. A receptionist at the hospice care reportedly confirmed that “there were no deaths” during the day, but declined to share further information.

Meanwhile, prosecutors are trying to pursue a murder case against Bobbi Kristina's boyfriend, Nick Gordon, after her family filed a $10 million lawsuit accusing him of abusing her and stealing her money. Gordon has not been allowed to see his girlfriend yet as Bobby Brown claims that Gordon has not revealed everything about the tragic night when Bobbi Kristina was found unconscious. A police source reportedly said that authorities believe Gordon was worried about being dumped, which could be a possible motive for murder.

“If Bobbi Kristina left Nick, it would have destroyed everything he had. Nick was living a lie, telling the world he was Bobbi Kristina’s husband when in fact they were never married,” the source told the National Enquirer, cited by Radar Online, adding: “On top of that, Nick was living off Bobbi Kristina’s money. Without her, he’d have nothing. There’s no question Nick didn’t want Bobbi Kristina to leave him. He may have never intended to kill her, but no doubt they argued.”
