He was the mastermind behind a fire which wiped out Spectra Fashions, and so far, his culpability hasn't been thought of by many people. However, those who know him best will start to wonder if Bill actually had something to do with the horrific event on the Friday, Sept. 1 episode of "The Bold and the Beautiful."

So far, Liam (Scott Clifton) was the only one who quickly figured out that Bill (Don Diamont) ordered someone to set the fire, which not only trashed Sally's (Courtney Hope) entire new collection, but the whole Spectra building as well on the CBS soap. Because there was no insurance on the building, Spectra seems to officially be done for good, and Bill can use the plot to build his skyscraper he has been eyeing. Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) has also been told the truth about the fire, though neither she nor Liam have told anyone else just yet.

However, Caroline (Linsey Godfrey), who came back to town with Thomas (Pierson Fode) so he could see Sally, will also quickly realize that her uncle may have committed the horrible crime, and will ask him point blanc if he was involved.

"The fire that destroyed Spectra... You don't know more about it than you're letting on do you?" She asks in a preview clip.

Bold and the Beautiful
Bill's (Don Diamont) role in the Spectra fire is further questioned on the Sept. 1, 2017 episode of "The Bold and the Beautiful." CBS

Whether or not Bill admits the truth to his niece, she will likely know it's true, and could decide that now he really has gone too far. In addition to lying to Thomas about her being terminally ill, which has kept him in New York and away from Sally, Caroline will decide that he crossed the line, and will warn him that this time, she means it when she says she isn't going to sit back and let him continue scheming.

Meanwhile, the topic of the fire and how devastating it is will still be all anyone else can talk about, especially at Forrester. Liam and Steffy have found themselves struggling with what they know, and unsure of whether or not they should tell anyone. As Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) muses to them however about Bill possibly getting to build his skyscraper after all, despite it seeming like he'd never get the chance before, they will then consider telling her, by prompting her to think about how ruthless Bill can get when it comes to getting the things he wants, especially where his business is concerned.

"He's a good man," Brooke says. "Though, when it comes to business and making things happen, he can be ruthless."

If Liam and Steffy continue to probe Brooke with the thought of how ruthless Bill can be, and the reminder of how much he wanted that building, Brooke could remember the lengths he went to before, which included sabotaging Sally's first collection with a bad review, prompting her to steal Forrester designs. Then, it may dawn on her that Bill went to even more extreme lengths this time, and she could too learn the truth.

"The Bold and the Beautiful" airs weekdays at 1:30 p.m. EDT on CBS.
