Hope said she chose her marriage to Liam and wanted to still be with him after learning that Thomas was trying to manipulate her into ending the relationship so she could be with him. However, unaware he is still working to win her over, Hope could wind up falling for his latest trick and making an unexpected decision as a result on the Tuesday, May 21 episode of “The Bold and the Beautiful.”

Though he was warned to back off, Thomas (Matthew Atkinson) has not given up on his ploy to separate Hope (Annika Noelle and Liam (Scott Clifton), and most recently pretended to find a letter from Caroline (Linsey Godfrey) that begged him to find a good mother for Douglas (Henry Joseph Samiri) if anything ever happened to her. He has since read the letter aloud to Hope, and she has begun to think that Caroline might have been talking about her. Now, it appears she will continue to wonder if she has to honor what she thinks are Caroline's dying wishes.

“Hope reads a letter that Caroline wrote before she died and is moved by the contents,” spoilers reveal.

If Hope feels Caroline is the one who wrote the letter, and she is convinced the other woman genuinely wanted her to raise Douglas with Thomas if anything ever happened to her, then it could have serious consequences when it comes to her marriage.

Not only could Hope be persuaded to try and end her marriage to Liam because of the letter, but it also gives Thomas the win he feels he deserves—while still taking the last thing Hope has in her life from her and manipulating her to believe it’s the best move.

However, while Thomas doesn’t know that the baby his sister adopted is actually Hope’s, his manipulation could make Hope eventually learning the truth even more of a disaster than anyone expects. But if Hope thinks for now at least that being with Thomas is the best thing, then there’s no stopping the eventual train wreck from hitting them all and changing their lives forever.

“The Bold and the Beautiful” airs weekdays at 1:30 p.m. EDT on CBS.
