The Boston Celtics will try to string up another win on Wednesday, February 1 at the TD Garden when they face their Eastern Conference rivals in the form of the Brooklyn Nets.

The Celtics are coming off a close 121-125 overtime win over the Los Angeles Lakers.

In that game, Jaylen Brown showed the way with 37 points alongside nine rebounds. Jayson Tatum chipped in 30 markers of his own with 11 boards and four dimes.

"At the end of the day, the players decided that game," Brown stated. "We made plays down the stretch; they made plays down the stretch. And I thought it was a good game. It was probably one of the greater games in our recent Lakers-Celtics matchup. And I'm happy we came out on top."

The Celtics are third in the league in most team points scored with an average of 117.8 points per contest, and they hold an offensive rating of 116.6.

Defensively, they are giving up 112.3 points per game.

On the other end, the Nets are hoping to register their third-straight win.

In their last game, the Nets outlasted the Lakers, 121-104, with Kevin Durant still out of commission.

Kyrie Irving led the team anew with 26 points, seven rebounds and six assists. Patty Mills came off the bench to haul 21 markers and four caroms.

"I think from a big-picture standpoint we've just worked out how to navigate the ship, I guess," Mills stated, "and it definitely does feel a lot different than last year in that sense."

The Nets are scoring 114.6 points per game and carry an offensive rating of 115.7 which is fifth in the NBA as of this writing.

On the defensive side, Brooklyn is surrendering 111.5 points per game.

The Celtics are -8.5 favorites to prevail over the visiting Nets, who are at +8.5.

In addition, the moneyline set for this game is -435 for Boston and +275 for Brooklyn.

Game time is set for 7:30 PM ET, with a special television broadcast over ESPN and live streaming through the NBA League Pass.
