Six months after divorcing estranged wife Angelina Jolie, with whom he has six children, Brad Pitt appears to be restructuring his life. A Wednesday GQ profile of the “Allied” star revealed he maintained a number of properties that the couple shared together — they owned a winery and several homes, among others. Still, the question remains: How much of their combined net worth will Pitt retain?

Celebrity Net Worth estimated Jolie’s net worth to be around $160 million and Pitt’s to be about $240 million. With an estimated combined net worth of $400, the Jolie-Pitts were among Hollywood’s most affluent families. However, divorces are expensive, and the pair has been flipping their known properties and acquiring others in a relatively short timeframe.

So the short answer? It's complicated.

Pitt is currently living in the Hollywood Hills house that he bought in 1994 for a reported $1.7 million and maintains is his kids' “childhood home.” The five-bedroom home was originally part of a 5,338-square-foot property in Los Feliz, California, to which Pitt added more homes over the years. The gated compound boasted multiple pools and amenities, which Pitt remodeled over time to accommodate his growing family. According to Forbes:

"Bit by bit, he added other nearby homes: a one-bed, two-bath home, measuring 2,454 square feet, for $380,000 in 1996, and another one-bed, two-bath house on the same road in 1998. Ten years later, the star-on-the-rise actor continued to add to his estate, buying a $1.287 million, one-bed, two-bath home on a connected piece of land, followed by a 3,232-square-foot home in 2009, creating the perfect spot for Brangelina and their six kids when they touch town in La-La Land."

A rumored $400 million “ironclad” prenup reportedly existed between Jolie and Pitt and outlined exactly who would get what in the event they divorced. TMZ reported in September that the couple owned a combined 12 properties together, “all of which they snatched up either before they were married or before they were even dating.” Seven of those properties reportedly belonged to Pitt, two belonged to Jolie and three of the properties were purchased by the couple prior to their marriage in 2014, according to TMZ.

As International Business Times reported in September, a marital property that is eligible to be divided includes “all income and assets acquired by either spouse during the marriage including, pensions, 401Ks, IRAs and other retirement plans, stock options, life insurance policies, savings, property, cars and boats.”

Pitt ranked tenth on Forbes' list of the world's highest paid actors of 2016. He bagged $31.5 million for his role as Ben Rickert in "The Big Short," which earned more than $133 million globally. According to Forbes, last year was the first since 2007 that Pitt's earnings exceeded 30 million — though only by a fraction.
