Brad Pitt has battled rumors he’s trying to “court” British model-actress Cara Delevingne, but the latest story claims he gave Angelina Jolie an ultimatum that has nothing to do with Pitt’s supposed trysts. Many have noticed Jolie’s “skeletal” appearance, and Pitt apparently has too: Either the Oscar winner gains weight, or Pitt will file for divorce. This story is to be read with skepticism, of course, since it comes from National Enquirer, which also claimed in a different story that Texas Sen. Ted Cruz is a philanderer who cheated on his wife, Heidi, and has a list of mistresses.

So, fans should not start to worry about Jolie, 40, just yet. Gossip Cop, which famously debunks celebrity rumors, has already discredited National Enquirer’s new story. It is nothing more than “nonsense,” a source who is close to the celebrity couple told Gossip Cop Wednesday.

But some people — who haven’t read this article yet — might be easily fooled. The cover of National Enquirer’s Wednesday issue reads: “Dying Angie losing battle: 79 pounds and hospitalized!” The bullets underneath read: “Pin-thin Jolie’s weight plummets to all-time low” and “Brad’s desperate plea: ‘Get help now!’ In the “secret medical file” corner of the cover, National Enquirer claims cancer is eating Jolie alive and that she’s suffering from blinding headaches, anorexia and paranoia. The cover is accompanied by a photo of Jolie looking gaunt and malnourished.

Inside the magazine, readers will see that Pitt, 52, has apparently tried to get his wife to improve her well-being, imploring her to eat. “Brad has done everything to get Angie to focus on her health. ... He’s watched in despair as Angie sometimes goes all day without eating,” a source told National Enquirer.

The phony insider added Pitt has resorted to divorce threats to try to get Jolie to wake up, since she’s supposedly in “denial” about her health. It’s “too hard on him and the kids” to “watch her waste away.”

Pitt and Jolie have six children together: Maddox Jolie-Pitt, 14; Pax Jolie-Pitt, 11; Zahara Jolie-Pitt, 10; Shiloh Jolie-Pitt, 9; and twins Knox and Vivienne Jolie-Pitt, 7.

“The kids see Angie’s hair loss and how sickly she looks, and it scares them to their core,” a different source told the magazine March 21. “They’ve asked Brad if Mommy is going to die. He tells them, no, that their mother went to the doctor to fix things so she won’t die. But it’s a frightening time for them. Until Angie gets serious about her health, her kids — as well as Brad — live in fear that she’ll be dead within a few years!”

Like Gossip Cop, Rumor Fix also debunked National Enquirer’s story.
