The year is roughly only halfway complete, but several of Hollywood’s biggest couples have ended marriages or called off relationships with a significant other. Here’s a look at some of the other major announcements that have rocked fans.

Ben Affleck and Lindsay Shookus

Despite rekindling their romance in February after a split in August 2018, things weren’t meant to be for the “Batman” actor and “SNL” producer. According to reports, the pair ended their romance a second time because they wanted to spend more time with their families and were unable to make it work since they lived in different cities.

Adele and Simon Konecki

After secretly tying the knot, the “Hello” singer and her partner of more than seven years, announced plans to divorce in April. In their statement, the pair admitted they were focusing on moving forward and co-parenting their son, Angelo, and they weren’t going to allow their split to get messy for his sake.

“Adele’s son is everything to her. Her whole life revolves around him,” a source said at the time. “I just can’t see her divorce getting messy because she’s so careful when it comes to her son. She’s always five steps ahead in terms of how a decision will affect him.”

Pete Davidson and Kate Beckinsale

After getting hot and heavy for a few months, things cooled off between comedian Pete Davidson and actress Kate Beckinsale. The pair’s romance made headlines because of a 20-year age gap.

“They split but she is still staying at his house for now,” a source told Us Weekly. “It’s complicated because of the baby.”
