Buckingham Palace’s sweet tribute for Prince Louis’ birthday had a mistake.

On Tuesday, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s youngest son celebrated his second birthday. Buckingham Palace greeted the tot on Twitter but made a mistake.

“Happy Birthday to Prince Louis HRH is The Queen’s seventh great-grand child. Today he turns two! The photos below were taken by The Duchess of Cambridge earlier this month,” the post read.

However, according to People, Prince George and Princess Charlotte’s youngest sibling was actually Queen Elizabeth II’s sixth grandkid. The Queen’s first five great grandchildren are Savannah Phillips, Isla Phillips, Prince George, Mia Tindall and Princess Charlotte.

The royal family welcomed the monarch’s seventh great-grandchild when Zara and Mike Tindall had their second daughter, Lena Elizabeth II. In May 2019, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle welcomed their first baby, Archie, bringing the Queen’s total grandchildren count to eight.

According to an insider, Prince Louis is the only kid who inherited Middleton’s looks among her three children. The duchess just laughed about it and said she loved it.

“Everyone always comments on how Louis is the spitting image of Kate,” a source told People. “She loves it and thinks it’s very sweet, she often jokes that he’s the only one of her kids who actually looks like her!”

Meanwhile, Prince William and Middleton were reportedly planning to give their son a birthday party. However, they were forced to cancel it due to the coronavirus pandemic. Since social gatherings were discouraged, they decided to just celebrate it with their immediate family.

“If the weather is nice, William’s planning to cook some chicken and burgers on BBQ and play outdoor sports and games as a family – football, chase and hide and seek,” the insider said. “And obviously Louis will have a cake, too! He’s so excited about his big day and is already singing happy birthday to himself.”
