  • Activision's "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare" playlist update will officially include One in the Chamber game mode
  • One in the Chamber has proven to be one of the most popular game modes in the "Call of Duty" franchise
  • Per Game Rant, the fan favorite One in the Chamber game mode is set for release this week via its "This Week in Call of Duty" post

“Call of Duty: Modern Warfare” is officially set to include the fan favorite One in the Chamber game mode on its next update.

Activision, one of the largest third-party game publishers, recently confirmed that the famed 2019 shooter video game will be getting the One in the Chamber game mode via its “This Week in Call of Duty” post, Game Rant reported.

While the mode has been popularly well-received when it debuted in subsequent “Call of Duty” franchises, its kickoff in the “Modern Warfare” installment will begin the game match with a single bullet using random weapon—as opposed to its preceding versions where only a pistol was being used.

The much-upgraded version will also be affording players an additional bullet once an enemy player is killed. Players will have three lives to get the highest score before the match ends.

Not much has been detailed following One in the Chamber’s slated launch on Tuesday (June 16). However, game updates such as the addition or removal of playlists are a noted possibility. As per Game Rant, “Call of Duty” fans are advised to wait for the patch notes to have a concrete view of what’s to come once the update officially goes live.

On another note, the “Call of Duty: Warzone” battle royale is entirely indicated in the new blog post. The Warzone Rumble mode, which was only introduced last week, was seemingly touted as a staple in the “Warzone” franchise amid its impending June 16 update—a decision that may not be well-received by fans and players of the shooting game’s community, Game Rant claimed.

Contrary to Plunder, “Call of Duty’s” more popular game mode, it was also noted that the Warzone Rumble hasn’t been garnering enough mass appeal. It may be due to this that Infinity Ward guaranteed Plunder to be welcomed back to “Warzone” soon, with many assuming the claim to be followed through in the next game update.

But this, apparently, is also not a solid guarantee as the blog post makes no mention of Plunder and only underscores other “Warzone” match types such as Solo, Duos, Trios and Quads.

Meanwhile, fans should expect that the June 16 update for “Modern Warfare” won’t be as large-scaled as they thought it would be, especially since “Modern Warfare” Season 4 made its official release just last week.

“Call of Duty: Modern Warfare” is now available for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
