Caylee Anthony
Casey Anthony should be in jail for what she did to Caylee, her dad, George, said in a new interview. Orange County Sheriff's Offfice

Casey Anthony was acquitted for the murder of her 2-year-old daughter, Caylee, but that doesn’t mean she’s innocent. Her parents, George and Cindy Anthony, sat down for an interview with Chris Hansen on Monday’s episode of “Crime Watch Daily” — and he made some shocking claims. One of them was that Casey should be behind bars for what happened to Caylee.

“Is she a killer?” Hansen asked. When George didn’t know what to say, Cindy added: “Do you think she intentionally wanted to kill Caylee?”

After gaining some clarity, George said Casey should have been incarcerated for Caylee’s death. “I don’t think she intentionally wanted to,” he said. “But she should be in jail because of Caylee not being here.”

As most people already know, 2-year-old Caylee was killed in June 2008. Her remains were discovered in a wooded area near the family’s home Dec. 11, 2008. Her mother, infamous “Tot Mom” Casey Anthony, was acquitted of first degree murder in 2011.

But George hasn’t lost granddaughter Caylee from his life for good — or so he claimed. The Orlando resident claimed he sees Caylee “in the flesh.” Cindy believed him.

He explained the sighting as “a strong spirit that was in our house.”

“That’s love, and that’s a connection that I wish more people could have.”

It didn’t happen only once, with George saying, “I’ve seen Caylee on a couple of occasions.”

“Was this an apparition?” Hansen asked. “Was this a dream?”

“No, no. I’ve seen her in the flesh in my house,” George answered. “One time she woke me up in the morning just tapping on me with her little finger like she used to do. ‘JoJo wake up.’ ”

Caylee used to call George JoJo.

“It wasn’t a dream,” George continued. “It was like you and I are talking right now.”

In August, photos surfaced that showed Caylee’s gravesite had been abandoned.

“Caylee’s memorial site is so desolate and depressing,” an insider told Radar Online at the time. “It’s heartbreaking to see Caylee’s memory disregarded like that. The items at the memorial are either left to rot, already destroyed or covered in dirt.”

The state of Caylee’s grave is further proof that Anthony is a selfish person. “All her life, Casey’s never cared about anyone but herself, and that hasn’t changed,” one source said. “She’s never taken any of the blame for what happened to Caylee, and she’s left everyone else holding the bag for her.”

While she might have the reputation as being “the most hated mom in America,” Anthony doesn’t care. “I don’t give a shit what anyone thinks about me, I never will,” she told the AP in March. “I’m okay with myself, I sleep pretty good at night.”
