  • Chaka Khan and Ariana Grande previously collaborated on “Nobody” for the “Charlie’s Angels” soundtrack
  • Khan says she doesn't want to sing with another woman
  • The 10-time Grammy winner wants to get her message across by herself

Singer-songwriter Chaka Khan has no interest in recording songs with other women, including one-time collaborator Ariana Grande.

In a recent interview, the 10-time Grammy Award winner — who collaborated with Grande last year on "Nobody" for the "Charlie’s Angels" soundtrack — said the younger singer was "alright" and would do fine on her own.

"F--- her," Khan told VladTV Wednesday when asked if she would be open to recording another duet with Grande.

She then continued, "She's alright. She’s good on her own. She doesn’t need – plus, I don’t wanna sing with another woman. I ain’t got nothing to say, OK, with a woman."

Khan, whose real name is Yvette Marie Stevens, added that she wants to get her message across by herself.

"You say it by yourself," she said. "We ain’t gonna talk about no man. We not gonna do none of that stuff. It’s not happening."

Last year, Khan was dismissive of her song with Grande at Variety’s Power of Women luncheon, where she said "Nobody" was "not [going to] change the world."

Meanwhile, Grande is gearing up for the release of her latest offering, her sixth studio album. She took to Twitter Wednesday to announce the exciting news to her fans.

"I can't wait to give you my album this month," she tweeted to her 77.7 million followers.

In recent months, Grande has not released any new solo songs. But she featured in Justin Bieber’s "Stuck With You" and Lady Gaga’s "Rain On Me," both of which became instant hits.

Grande has yet to share new details about the album. But Tommy Brown, who produced five tracks on Grande's "thank u, next," recently hinted at his participation in the upcoming album with an Instagram post.

"6****," he captioned a photo of him with the singer.

Back in September, Grande took to Twitter to share a snippet of a new song, sending her fans into a frenzy.

In May, Grande revealed in an interview with Apple Music’s Zane Lowe that she had put together a home studio. However, she said at the time that she wasn’t putting out new music anytime soon.

"I don’t really feel comfortable putting anything out right now, because it’s just like other than this, it’s a really tricky time for all of that," she said.
